PADI® Women’s Dive Day has grown into the most celebrated day of diving on the planet, transforming lives and opening the door to the underwater world. For ten years now, the dive community has rallied together to encourage divers of all genders, ages, races, backgrounds and abilities to confidently explore and protect the ocean.
We are excited to host Blue Planet's 10th annual Women's Dive Day event next month at Lake Phoenix! Come join us for a fun weekend of local diving, improving our skills and meeting new dive buddies.
Saturday & Sunday, July 20-21, 2024 at Lake Phoenix (Rawlings, VA)
Activites will include:
- a buoyancy workshop,
- an underwater photo scavenger hunt,
- select PADI courses, and
- guided local dives.

8 AM: Arrival at Lake Phoenix for anyone taking a class
9 AM: Arrival at Lake Phoenix for fun divers
10-12 PM: Free Buoyancy workshop + guided dive
1-2 PM: Guided dive
3-4 PM: Scuba Scavenger Hunt
7 PM: Meet up for dinner at Trapezium Brewery (Petersburg, VA)
We aren't holding any Women's Dive Day activities on Sunday, but you are welcome to stay and continue diving. We are happy to offer courses like Advanced Open Water Diver, Dive Against Debris, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Digital Underwater Photographer and more!

Lake Phoenix is open from 8am-6pm. The dive shop there closes at 6pm if you need to return any rental gear and technically we're supposed to be out of the water by 5pm. Camping is available on site too, or there are hotels up in Petersburg, VA.
FYI there is an entry fee into Lake Phoenix ($33/day which can be paid online here) and rental gear including tanks and weights is available at Lake Phoenix. If you don't have a buddy, we're happy to help you find one!
