Ghost & History Tour in Old Town Alexandria
Tuesday, October 24, 2023 starting at 6 PM
Many legends, folklore tales, unsolved mysteries, unrealized romantic stories and revenge-seeking spirits have been associated with Alexandria, and we will learn a little about these while wandering the gaslit streets on a chilly fall evening.
We will visit a former military hospital haunted by the ghosts of soldiers from the Civil War who died prematurely; we will learn about the ghost of the woman who was burned alive before her engagement and continues to appear to customers at a local ice cream parlor; about the cat that was buried in the wall of the Carlisle House to keep evil spirits away; about the "Female Stranger" who was buried nameless but with a poem on her tombstone; the ghosts of Marshall House, and more!
We will also walk in the footsteps of its first residents, including a local named George Washington, see where he slept, prayed and partied - and we will learn about its dark past as a large slave port. We will also visit the narrowest house in America, one of the oldest taverns continuously in use, and the oldest building housing a starbucks.
The length of the tour is about two and a half hours. We'll end at the Union St Pub for food + beverages (not included).

Join us Saturday OR Sunday for this 2-dive specialty where you will learn the dark arts of creating pumpkin masterpieces...while submerged beneath the ripples of the lake. Enter your creation in our contest Sunday and see if you come out ahead(less) with one of our fabulous prizes!
Saturday - Carve all day! Class times are flexible.
Sunday - Class starts at 9 AM. Contest judging will be at 2 PM!
Trash & Treat! + Dive Against Debris Specialty
Looking for an excuse to eat candy? Earn those treats when you exchange them for trash you find on your dive! We'll be offering the Dive Against Debris 1-dive specialty both Saturday AND Sunday so everyone can take part. Already have the specialty? Come join us!
Saturday & Sunday - Dive all day! Class times are flexible.
Sarah's Zombie Baby Challenge + Underwater Navigator Specialty
There are a number of zombie babies hidden throughout the lake. Maybe you've encountered one or two in the past, but have you found them all?? Use your navigation skills to decipher Sarah's zombie baby challenge. Don't have any? Then take the Underwater Navigator 3-dive specialty with us on Saturday!
Saturday: Navigation class starts at 9 AM.
Zombie Apocalypse Diver Specialty
Will you become another member of the zombie hoard or will you be able to survive the apocalypse alive and well? Join us on Sunday for this 2-dive specialty where you will learn:
