Join Blue Planet divers on September 18th for the Ocean Conservancy's International Coastal Clean Up Day!
In partnership with volunteer organizations and individuals around the globe, the International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) engages people to remove trash from the world’s beaches and waterways. Thanks to volunteers around the world, the ICC has become a beacon of hope, leading and inspiring action in support of our ocean. Since its beginning, over 16 million volunteers have collected more than 340 million pounds of trash!
Please plan to bring your own gloves and trash bags and any other supplies you might need. NPS is very short staffed, so they ask that we carry out any trash or recycling we collect instead of leaving it for them to dispose of.
Anyone joining this campaign will need to complete the RCC online waiver linked to below. You will also need to complete a waiver for National Park Services which they email you once you register.
WHEN: Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 10-12pm
WHERE: Peirce Mill Park
WHAT TO BRING: Wear comfortable clothes and shoes (you may get wet). Bring yard gloves and trash bags to collect any trash or recycling.
You MUST RSVP via Rock Creek Conservancy's website below!
