The ocean has been Liz’s happy place since she was a child. She fell in love with scuba diving in the Florida Keys when she was teaching marine science for an outdoor science institute back in 2008. Since then, she’s used scuba as a tool to teach young people about the ocean and themselves. There is nothing more meditative than leaving the world behind on the surface and going below the water, blowing bubbles, and communing with nature.

Liz has been in education all her career, and firmly believes experiential education is the best form of learning there is. Teaching students to dive has been a passion for a long time - giving folks a window into the underwater world and teaching about the magnificence and wonders of our ocean is a privilege.  

Liz has spent most of her time teaching diving in The Bahamas, and since moving to Washington DC in 2024 has become part of the Blue Planet family. She loves getting to introduce diving to young people and can’t wait to work with you soon!
