IDC Staff Instructor

A native of the Arizona desert, Andy fell in love with the ocean while diving on the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef. He received his Open Water certification in 2006, followed soon after by Advanced Open Water, Emergency First Responder, Rescue, Nitrox, and Divemaster. While living in Guatemala, he helped establish that country’s first marine reserve, in Amatique Bay. Andy recently joined the Blue Planet team in an effort to resume his dive education, and go Pro. He has since become an Assistant Instructor and Diving Emergency Management Provider, and aspires to complete the Open Water Scuba Instructor course and take the Instructor Exam later this year. Andy’s thirst to dive is equal to his desires to learn more about our oceans and help protect them.
