Make a splash and unleash your inner mermaid with the PADI Mermaid course! This magical experience goes beyond the basics, teaching you dynamic mermaid skills that turn swimming into an art form. Glide, twirl, and express yourself beneath the waves as you master techniques unique to mermaiding. (Bonus: The PADI Mermaid course includes Basic Mermaid, so you can dive right in—no need to take Basic Mermaid separately!)

The Experience: 

• Online eLearning: You’ll begin by completing the PADI Mermaid eLearning to learn key principles, safety practices, and mermaid diving basics. 

• Confined Water Session: This is where the magic happens! You’ll build confidence in the water, learn essential problem-solving skills, and practice signature mermaid moves like dolphin (butterfly) kicks, C-shape and U-shape turns, back glides, and even playful tricks like mermaid bubbles and underwater handshakes!

Prerequisites:

• Minimum Age: 10 years or older can join the adventure! 

• Swimming Skills: You should be able to swim 50m/160ft without swim aids, float comfortably for 5 minutes, and be in good health. 

Equipment

In the PADI Mermaid experience, you’ll have everything you need to feel like a true mermaid:

• Monofin, tailskin, mask, snorkel, and fins. Wetsuits and weight belts with weights are available to add on to your experience. 

• While it’s best to use gear specifically designed for mermaiding, you may be able to use some of your own snorkeling equipment during this session. If you're a freediver, you might already own some gear that's perfect for mermaiding, too!
