The Discover Scuba Diving program lets you experience the thrill of diving under the supervision of a PADI professional in the pool. During your session, you will master some basic concepts and scuba skills, all while having a great time!

Before You Begin
Want to get the most out of your discover scuba experience? Click here and register for the Introduction to Open Water diving course! This is a FREE introductory course that covers questions from "how do I clear my ears" to "how do I stay afloat underwater?" Don't let the name fool you - this course is for everyone even if you are only ready to sign up for your discover scuba!
The Fun Part
When you participate in a Discover Scuba Diving program, you discover excitement and adventure, freedom, and serenity. Nothing compares to the “weightless” exhilaration of breathing underwater. Only a diver knows the feeling!
What You Learn
You'll learn some basics about diving, including how to communicate, be helped into gear, and take your first breathes underwater. Then you'll get to experience swimming on scuba, be introduced to a few skills, and have a great time exploring the pool with one of our PADI pros.
The Scuba Gear You Use
All the equipment you will need is included in a Discover Scuba Diving experience. You'll use all the basic scuba gear including a mask, fins, a buoyancy control device that carries your weights and scuba cylinder, regulators to breathe from, and a submersible pressure gauge. All you need is your towel and a bathing suit.
Paperwork and Coursework
Be sure to complete the coursework and the paperwork ahead of your DSD session. This can be found online through the link you'll receive via email after you pay for the session.
Prerequisites
To take participate in the Discover Scuba Diving program, you must be at least 10 years old and complete the required paperwork.
Your Next Adventure
Most participants in the DSD quickly sign up for one of our Open Water Diver certification courses. If you sign up with us we will credit you the cost of the DSD program towards your Open Water Diver certification!
